Preride Jam Session

Just for fun I thought I'd post last winter's preride jam session in my dream workout room. Better to ride in a basement than to not ride at all!  Wait for the headbang...

Happy Holidays!

Luckily, I was able to spend Thanksgiving with dear friends and their family and somehow worked the Tour de France onto our plates of discussion.  Despite having family a long ways away in either New Hampshire or my brother finishing up his pro basketball duties in the Philippines, it's special to see how another family appreciates Thanksgiving.  It was especially telling to see how the fogged up dining room window would remind me of the warmth inside on the wintry night.  Thanks to the Moke family!

Broken Bicycles by Tom Waits

A fitting song for today's autumnal feel and bicycles surrendered to winter.

What to do?

My first blog fittingly serves my adventures in mountain biking.  In the attempt to make my blog mine, I'm surging forward to make my life mine and redefining the way I live using the right ingredients. The art of relaxing has been a formidable nemesis which I'm focused on learning this winter as part of my "training plan" and aim to "stick with it" as if there's a boundary between living and training.  I hope to go into next year's summer and endurance racing season with a more wholesome perspective on life and cycling, not to get the two confused, and hope this blog serves as a medium of inner dialogue, monologue, and dialoguge to gain insight that may have not been possible otherwise.  Here's to a promising winter and healthy life! This is me raising my Fat Tire brewski. Cheers!
